These terms are an agreement between you and HomeShopper AI Inc., 9655 49 Ave NW, Edmonton, Alberta T6E 5Z5, Canada (“HomeShopperAI”, “we”), covering the Kalest mobile app and the kalest.ai website (together, “the Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.
Kalest analyzes photos of meals, ingredient labels, and product barcodes to estimate calories, nutrients, allergens, and related information. Results are estimates: food identification uses AI vision, portions are visual estimates, and nutrient values come from third-party nutrition databases. Results can be wrong, incomplete, or based on a mismatched database entry — that’s why the app marks uncertain items and lets you correct them.
Kalest is not a medical device and provides no medical, dietary, or allergy advice. Do not use scan results to make allergy-safety decisions — always check the physical product label. If you have a medical condition affected by diet, follow the advice of a qualified professional, not an app.
You need an account (Google, Apple, or email sign-in) to use scanning features. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age that applies where you live).
You can delete your account at any time in the app (menu → Delete account). Deletion is permanent: your history, photos, and sign-in identity are removed as described in the Privacy Policy, and any active subscription continues to be governed by the app store you purchased through (see §4).
New accounts receive a limited number of free AI scans; barcode scanning and manual search are free. To keep the Service available to everyone, we enforce technical fair-use limits (for example a daily cap on scans). Attempting to circumvent limits, scrape the Service, reverse engineer it, use it to build a competing dataset, or submit content you have no right to submit is prohibited and may result in suspension.
Kalest Pro unlocks unlimited scans and full features. Subscriptions are sold through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, and billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled by those stores under their terms:
Prices and plans may change; changes apply from your next renewal and the store will notify you as its rules require.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the Service, or create risk for us or other users. Where practical we’ll tell you why. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to HomeShopperAI. You keep all rights to your photos; you grant us the limited license needed to process and store them to operate the Service for you, and that license ends when you delete them or your account (subject to backup rotation). Nutrition data is provided under license from third-party sources and may carry their attribution.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law: we disclaim warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted availability; and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (and nothing limits statutory consumer rights in your country of residence).
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
We may update these terms as the Service evolves; material changes will be announced in the app before taking effect, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance. Questions: hello@visualizeai.pro.
